A private consultation to discuss the lines you notice when your face moves, your goals, and whether any available option may be appropriate for you.
Ways to enquire

Overview
Information to discuss during consultation
If you have questions about the lines that appear when your face moves, start with a private consultation. You do not need to know which treatment to ask for — that is what the appointment is for.
These treatments work by targeting the facial muscles involved in expression, which may temporarily reduce and soften the appearance of dynamic lines and wrinkles in the areas treated.
The lines usually discussed are frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines across the forehead, crow’s feet at the outer corners of the eyes, smile and bunny lines around the nose and mouth, and dimpling or a pebbled texture on the chin.
Whether any of these may be appropriate for you is not something a web page can answer. A consultation is required to discuss your goals, determine suitability, and talk through alternatives, potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and realistic expectations before you decide anything. Individual results vary.
Background
Dynamic or static lines: what is the difference?
The distinction comes up often at consultation, and it matters because the two behave differently.
Dynamic lines
These appear when the face moves — frowning, raising the eyebrows, smiling — and soften or disappear when the face is at rest. They are a product of muscle movement rather than a change in the skin itself.
Static lines
These remain visible when the face is at rest. Over time, lines that began as dynamic can become static as the skin’s natural collagen and elasticity change, though this varies considerably between individuals.
Most people have some of both, and the same line can look different depending on your facial expression, lighting and time of day. Which you have, and whether any treatment option may be appropriate, is something to determine during a consultation with us.

What to expect
From consultation to aftercare.
Individual experiences, downtime and aftercare vary. Everything below is discussed with you before any treatment decision is made.
Consultation
A private discussion of your aesthetic goals, with your questions answered and the available options explained. Your practitioner covers suitability, alternatives, potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and realistic expectations for your individual needs.
What to expect
If you proceed and follow the required aftercare, side effects are likely to be mild and temporary, and may include mild bruising at the treatment site. Individual experiences vary.
Aftercare
If you choose to undertake a treatment following the consultation, to minimise the downtime, please:
- Avoid wearing make-up directly after your treatment
- Avoid exercise for 48 hours, and high-intensity exercise on the day of treatment and the day after
- Stay upright for 4 hours
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid facial massages, facial treatments and saunas for 2 weeks
Questions
Questions about Wrinkles & Lines
Is there much downtime?
Following the required aftercare can reduce the risk of downtime. Where it occurs it may include mild bruising at the treatment site, which can typically be covered with light make-up the following day. Individual experiences vary, and your practitioner will discuss what is reasonable to expect in your case.
How long will the results last?
The effects are temporary, generally lasting around three to four months. Individual results vary, and how long any effect lasts depends on factors discussed at your consultation. This is general information, not a prediction of your own outcome.
When can I wear makeup?
We suggest avoiding make-up directly after your treatment, to reduce the risk of infection at the treatment sites. It can generally be worn again the following day.
What happens once the treatment wears off?
The treated area gradually returns to its baseline appearance — how it looked before treatment. The effect is temporary rather than permanent, which is one of the things worth discussing at your consultation.
Which areas can be discussed?
The lines usually discussed are frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal forehead lines, crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes, smile and bunny lines around the nose and mouth, and dimpling or a pebbled texture on the chin. Which of these may be appropriate for you is a question for your consultation, not for a web page.
Costs
Understanding the cost of treatment.
What treatment costs depends on your facial structure and anatomy, on the goals you are hoping to work toward, and on which treatments are involved in getting there. Two people asking for a similar outcome may need very different plans.
A consultation is the most reliable way to understand what your own treatment plan would involve and what it would cost. We will discuss your goals, talk through what may be suitable, and set out the cost of that specific plan — with no obligation to proceed.
