Jowls & Saggy Skin

Softening along the jawline and looser skin on the lower face are common reasons people book a consultation with us. These changes tend to develop gradually and are a natural part of ageing. If this is a concern for you, please book a consultation with our team.

What are jowls and saggy skin?

Jowls are the soft tissue that gathers along the jawline, interrupting its contour. Saggy skin refers to a loss of firmness in the face and neck.

What causes them?

Collagen and elastin decline with age, facial fat shifts downward and thins, and the ligaments supporting the face loosen. Gravity, sun exposure, weight changes and genetics all contribute, and the pace varies a great deal between individuals.

Reasons people seek consultations

Changes along the jawline and neck are very common and happen to almost everyone over time. Many people simply want to understand what is happening and what is realistic before making any decision. Common reasons include:

  • A jawline that looks less defined
  • Skin that feels looser on the lower face or neck
  • Changes in facial shape in photos
  • Wanting to understand what is causing the change
  • Wanting a professional opinion on options and realistic expectations

How should you manage jowls and saggy skin?

Everyone ages differently, so the right approach depends on your face, your skin and your goals. We recommend booking a consultation. Our consultations run for 45 minutes and are never rushed, giving you time to ask questions and talk through what you have noticed. During your consultation we can explain the different treatments that may be able to address your concern. Our team is made up of health professionals.

Four steps, start to finish.

You do not need to choose a treatment before you book. If you are unsure, choose “Book a consultation”.

  1. Book a consultation

There is no consultation fee. New client consultations run 45 minutes, so nothing is rushed and we can properly understand your goals.

  2. Pre-treatment care

If anything needs preparing beforehand, we send you clear instructions ahead of your appointment.

  3. Your treatment

Carried out by a member of our clinical team using TGA approved products, in a private clinical setting. It is often possible to proceed on the same day as your consultation, though some options need a separate booking — DM us to find out more.

  4. Post-treatment care

You leave with aftercare instructions, and our clinic is available for any questions that follow.
