Forehead Wrinkles

Horizontal lines across the forehead are one of the common reasons people book a consultation with us. They may form through repeated expressions such as raising the eyebrows, and can become more visible over time, including when the face is relaxed. If this is a concern for you, please book a consultation with our team.

What are forehead wrinkles?

Forehead wrinkles are horizontal lines that run across the forehead. They are often first noticed when the eyebrows lift, for example when talking, reacting or concentrating, and may become visible at rest with age.

What causes them?

They may develop through repeated movement of the forehead muscles, combined with the natural decline in collagen and elasticity that comes with age. Sun exposure, genetics, skin type and lifestyle factors can all influence how early they appear and how pronounced they become.

Reasons people seek consultations

Forehead lines are one of the most common concerns we hear about, and they affect people at different ages and for different reasons. Many people book a consultation simply to understand what is happening and what their options are. Common reasons include:

  • Lines that remain visible when the face is relaxed
  • Lines becoming more noticeable in photos or makeup
  • Wanting to understand how forehead movement relates to the rest of the upper face
  • Wanting to know what options exist, and what is realistic, before deciding anything
  • Wanting a professional assessment from a registered clinician

How should you manage forehead wrinkles?

Everyone's forehead, skin and expressions are different, so what suits one person may not suit another. The best way to find out is to book a consultation. Our consultations run for 45 minutes and are never rushed. During your consultation we can explain the different treatments that may be able to address your concern, and what each involves. Our team is made up of health professionals, and you are under no obligation to proceed.

Four steps, start to finish.

You do not need to choose a treatment before you book. If you are unsure, choose “Book a consultation”.

  1. Book a consultation

There is no consultation fee. New client consultations run 45 minutes, so nothing is rushed and we can properly understand your goals.

  2. Pre-treatment care

If anything needs preparing beforehand, we send you clear instructions ahead of your appointment.

  3. Your treatment

Carried out by a member of our clinical team using TGA approved products, in a private clinical setting. It is often possible to proceed on the same day as your consultation, though some options need a separate booking — DM us to find out more.

  4. Post-treatment care

You leave with aftercare instructions, and our clinic is available for any questions that follow.
