Hair Loss

Thinning hair, a widening part and a receding hairline are common reasons people book a consultation with us. Hair loss has many possible causes, and understanding the cause is an important first step. If this is a concern for you, please book a consultation with our team.

What is hair loss?

Hair loss describes thinning or shedding that is more than a person's usual pattern. It can be gradual or sudden, affect the whole scalp or specific areas, and may be temporary or longer-lasting depending on the cause.

What causes it?

Common contributors include genetics, hormonal changes, stress, illness, nutritional factors, certain medications and scalp conditions. Because causes differ so much, some people also choose to speak with their GP to rule out underlying health factors.

Reasons people seek consultations

Hair loss can be distressing, and it is often hard to know where to start. A consultation gives you the chance to talk it through and understand your options in a private, supportive setting. Common reasons include:

  • Noticing more hair in the brush, shower or on pillows
  • A widening part, thinning crown or receding hairline
  • Hair that feels finer or less dense than before
  • Wanting to understand possible causes
  • Wanting a clear, realistic discussion before deciding on anything

How should you manage hair loss?

Because hair loss has so many possible causes, every person's situation is different. The best first step is to book a consultation. Our consultations run for 45 minutes and are never rushed, so there is time to talk through your history and your concerns. During your consultation we can explain the different treatments that may be able to address your concern. Our team is made up of health professionals.

Four steps, start to finish.

You do not need to choose a treatment before you book. If you are unsure, choose “Book a consultation”.

  1. Book a consultation

There is no consultation fee. New client consultations run 45 minutes, so nothing is rushed and we can properly understand your goals.

  2. Pre-treatment care

If anything needs preparing beforehand, we send you clear instructions ahead of your appointment.

  3. Your treatment

Carried out by a member of our clinical team using TGA approved products, in a private clinical setting. It is often possible to proceed on the same day as your consultation, though some options need a separate booking — DM us to find out more.

  4. Post-treatment care

You leave with aftercare instructions, and our clinic is available for any questions that follow.
