Reglow Skin offers the skin laser Clear + Brilliant treatment.

The Clear + Brilliant treatment is a non-invasive treatment that uses a gentle, fractional laser to resurface the skin. For some individuals, it may help as a preventative treatment of ageing or sun damage in deepening fine lines and wrinkles, maintain healthy and glowing skin and improve your skin's overall texture and appearance.

This treatment is customisable and is suitable for most skin types with two options available: Original and Permea. These options treat a different depth in the skin and between the two, the treatment can target the appearance of fine lines, manage the appearance of pore size, boost collagen production, improve skin tone and texture and increase the skin’s permeability to absorb skincare and makeup products

A consultation is required to discuss your goals, determine suitability, to discuss potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and realistic expectations.

About your Consultation

  • What to expect

    If you decide to undertake a treatment after the consultation it will take approximately one hour including the application of any numbing cream. If you follow the required aftercare any side effects experienced are likely to be mild and temporary, which may include:  

    • During the treatment you may experience a gentle warmth and tingling sensation as the laser passes across your skin. Heat will build gradually during the treatment. 
    • Directly after the treatment you may feel a ‘spicy’ sensation on the treatment site for a period of time. This sensation will generally subside in the next few hours with individual results varying. For the rest of the day, it is common to experience mild to moderate redness and mild swelling.

    Immediate downtime is considered limited and most of the side effects will generally subside after 1-2 days.

    Your skin may feel rough with a sandpaper-like texture in the days following the treatment as the skin’s healing process occurs. This will generally subside after a period of time. Following, your skin may start to appear smoother, feel softer, and may appear brighter in 1-2 weeks.

  • Aftercare

    If you choose to undertake a treatment following the consultation, to minimise the downtime, please: 

    • Avoid direct sun exposure for the next 3 days. 
    • Wear SPF the following days 
    • Avoid high intensity exercise, saunas, and swimming for 24 hours
    • Avoid wearing makeup after the treatment 
    • Avoid skincare containing active ingredients for the next 3 days

FAQs

Is the treatment painful?
Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser treatment that can be considered tolerable. In general, individuals may experience mild discomfort as the heat builds gradually during the treatment. In the clinic, we will apply a topical numbing cream to the treated areas prior to the treatment to soften the treatment process.

How many sessions are required?
During a consultation we will discuss your goals, determine suitability, to discuss potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and realistic expectations. The number of sessions will be tailored towards your skin concerns and it is generally recommended to do 4 to 6 sessions over a monthly basis. However, this may vary from client to client. A personalised treatment plan can be developed on the day of consultation to suit your skin needs. 

When will I start seeing results?
Brighter skin may be revealed in 1-2 weeks with individual results varying. Consistent treatments as part of a treatment plan may assist the longevity of the initial results.

How much downtime do I need?
If you follow our required aftercare then any side effects experienced are likely to be redness and mild swelling directly after the treatment.  Generally, this will subside that day and the day after.

Can I wear makeup after the treatment?
Avoid wearing makeup directly after and on the day of the treatment. Makeup can be worn the day after if required to conceal any mild redness.
