Overview
MiniFX for the under-chin and lower face
MiniFX is a non-invasive treatment that delivers a combination of radio-frequency energy and vacuum suction. It may help to smooth the skin, reduce small fat deposits and improve overall skin texture and firmness. It is intended for those who want to target areas such as under the chin and the lower face by reducing the appearance of those fat deposits.
Whether it may be appropriate for you — or not — is determined at consultation, where your goals, suitability, alternatives, potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and realistic expectations are discussed. Individual results vary.

What to expect
From consultation to aftercare.
Individual experiences, downtime and aftercare vary. Everything below is discussed with you before any treatment decision is made.
Consultation
A private discussion of your aesthetic goals, with your questions answered and the available options explained. Your practitioner covers suitability, alternatives, potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and realistic expectations for your individual needs.
What to expect
During treatment there is an ongoing sensation of gentle warmth across the treatment areas. Afterwards you may notice redness, swelling and bruising — most often under the chin. Redness and swelling generally subside within one to three days, and bruising may take up to a week. Individual experiences vary.
Aftercare
If you choose to undertake a treatment following the consultation, to minimise the downtime, please:
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, swimming and excessive sun for 3 days
- Avoid high-intensity exercise for 24 hours
- Apply SPF sunscreen following treatment
- Avoid skincare containing active ingredients for 3 days
- Hirudoid cream may help reduce bruising, if recommended to you
Questions
Questions about InMode MiniFX
Is MiniFX painful?
The treatment is generally considered comfortable, with individual experiences varying. Some areas are more sensitive than others — the under-chin area in particular.
How long is MiniFX downtime?
The treatment sites may feel warm for a few hours afterwards. Redness and swelling generally subside within one to three days, and any bruising — most often under the chin — may take up to a week.
How long do MiniFX results last?
The results are permanent. Changes in lifestyle can still affect your overall shape over time, but the result achieved by the treatment itself does not reverse.
Can I wear makeup after MiniFX?
Light make-up can generally be worn afterwards, though this depends on your skin's sensitivity on the day.
Costs
Understanding the cost of treatment.
Which treatment is suitable depends on your facial structure and on the beauty goal you are working toward. Two people asking for a similar outcome might need very different treatment plans.
The best place to start is a consultation where we will discuss your goals, talk through what may be suitable, and set out the cost of that specific plan.
