Information to discuss during consultation

If you have questions about skin texture, fine lines, dark circles or scarring, start with a private consultation. You do not need to know which treatment to ask for.

REJURAN is an injectable treatment that delivers polynucleotides into the skin, intended to support the skin’s own regeneration and stimulate collagen and elastin production. It is discussed in relation to fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, scarring and hydration.

Whether it may be appropriate for you is determined at consultation, where your goals, suitability, alternatives, potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and realistic expectations are discussed. Individual results vary.

From consultation to aftercare.

Individual experiences, downtime and aftercare vary. Everything below is discussed with you before any treatment decision is made.

  1. Consultation

A private discussion of your aesthetic goals, with your questions answered and the available options explained. Your practitioner covers suitability, alternatives, potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and realistic expectations for your individual needs.

  2. What to expect

The treatment takes approximately forty minutes, including the application of numbing cream. Afterwards, side effects are typically mild — minor redness, swelling and small raised bumps at the injection sites, which slowly disperse on their own. Individual experiences vary.

  3. Aftercare

If you choose to undertake a treatment following the consultation, to minimise the downtime, please:

    • Avoid massaging or rubbing the area following your treatment
    • Avoid direct sun exposure for 3 days
    • Avoid hot showers, saunas and swimming for 24 hours
    • Avoid high-intensity exercise for 24 hours
    • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours

Questions about Rejuran

Is the treatment painful?

A topical numbing cream is applied to the treated areas beforehand to soften the process. People generally describe it as mildly to moderately uncomfortable, with individual experiences varying.

How long does the treatment take?

Approximately forty minutes, including the application of numbing cream.

Is there much downtime?

Side effects are typically mild — minor redness, swelling and small raised bumps at the injection sites, which slowly disperse on their own after a period of time. Individual experiences vary.

Is numbing cream used?

Yes. Numbing cream is used to soften the treatment process.

Is REJURAN safe if I have a fish or seafood allergy?

REJURAN is derived from salmon DNA. Anyone with an allergy to salmon or seafood is advised not to have this treatment. Please raise any allergy with us before booking, not on the day.

Understanding the cost of treatment.

What treatment costs depends on your facial structure and anatomy, on the goals you are hoping to work toward, and on which treatments are involved in getting there. Two people asking for a similar outcome may need very different plans.

A consultation is the most reliable way to understand what your own treatment plan would involve and what it would cost. We will discuss your goals, talk through what may be suitable, and set out the cost of that specific plan — with no obligation to proceed.
