Lip Volume

Changes in lip fullness, shape or definition are common reasons people book a consultation with us. Lips naturally vary in size and shape from person to person, and may change with age. If this is a concern for you, please book a consultation with our team.

What is lip volume?

Lip volume refers to the fullness, shape and definition of the lips, and how they sit in proportion to the rest of the face. There is no single “right” lip shape, and what feels balanced differs for everyone.

What causes changes in lip volume?

Genetics determine the starting point. Over time, natural collagen loss, reduced tissue volume, sun exposure and lifestyle factors such as smoking can lead to thinner lips, softer definition and fine vertical lines around the mouth. Facial proportions also influence how lips appear.

Reasons people seek consultations

Lips are a very personal feature, and what feels right is different for everyone. Many people come to us wanting a natural, proportionate approach and an honest opinion before deciding anything. Common reasons include:

  • Lips that feel thinner than they used to
  • Loss of definition around the lip border
  • Fine lines around the mouth
  • Differences between the upper and lower lip, or one side and the other
  • Wanting to understand what would suit their face

How should you manage changes in lip volume?

Lips are very individual, and what looks and feels right for one person may not suit another. The best way to find out is to book a consultation. Our consultations run for 45 minutes and are never rushed, so there is time to talk about what you would like and what suits your face. During your consultation we can explain the different treatments that may be able to address your concern. Our team is made up of health professionals who will give you honest advice.

Four steps, start to finish.

You do not need to choose a treatment before you book. If you are unsure, choose “Book a consultation”.

  1. Book a consultation

There is no consultation fee. New client consultations run 45 minutes, so nothing is rushed and we can properly understand your goals.

  2. Pre-treatment care

If anything needs preparing beforehand, we send you clear instructions ahead of your appointment.

  3. Your treatment

Carried out by a member of our clinical team using TGA approved products, in a private clinical setting. It is often possible to proceed on the same day as your consultation, though some options need a separate booking — DM us to find out more.

  4. Post-treatment care

You leave with aftercare instructions, and our clinic is available for any questions that follow.
