Morpheus8 is a non-surgical treatment which combines microneedling with radio frequency (RF) energy to target deeper skin layers. This allows the penetration of RF energy to stimulate collagen and elastin remodelling into the deeper layers of the skin which may lead to improvements in overall skin firmness, texture and skin laxity. It may also contribute to reducing pore size and smoothing fine lines overtime.

suitability, to discuss potential risks, side effects, downtime, aftercare and
realistic expectations.

MiniFx is a non-invasive treatment that delivers a combination of radio-frequency energy and vacuum suction. It may help to smooth the skin, reduce small fat deposits and improve overall skin texture and firmness. It is ideal for those who want to target areas such as under the chin and the lower face by reducing the appearance of those fat deposits.

What to expect

During the treatment, you will feel pressure, warmth and a slight prickling sensation as the energy is delivered to the treatment areas. The warmth will intensify throughout the treatment. If you follow the required aftercare, any side effects experienced are likely to be mild and temporary, which may include:

• Redness and mild swelling post treatment for up to 1-3 days. 
• Small grid-like marks may appear on the skin and last up to a week. These occur from where the microneedles have penetrated the skin.
• Rough and dry skin can appear over the following 3-5 days 
• Itchy skin can occur and is part of the skin renewal process. This will generally subside over the next few days

Aftercare
If you choose to undertake a treatment following the consultation, to minimise the downtime, please:

• Avoid wearing makeup, sunscreen and skincare directly following the treatment 
• Avoid direct sun exposure for 3 days post treatment 
• Wear SPF protection the following day 
• Avoid skincare containing active ingredients for the following 3 days
• Avoid hot showers, saunas, and swimming for 24 hours

What to expect
During the treatment, there will be an ongoing sensation of gentle warmth on the treatment areas. Some people will describe the feeling as similar to a deep tissue massage. If you follow the required aftercare any side effects experienced are likely to be mild and temporary, which may which may include:

• Some redness, swelling and bruising, especially to more sensitive areas, such as the under chin area. 
• Swelling and erythema is common and will subside in 1-3 days post treatment. Bruising may take up to 1 week to subside.

Aftercare
If you choose to undertake a treatment following the consultation, to minimise the downtime, please:

• Avoid hot showers, saunas, swimming and excessive sun exposure for the next 3 days
• It is generally recommended to avoid high intensity exercise for 24 hours post treatment, however, this is subject to your skin’s sensitivity 
• Apply SPF sunscreen protection to the treated areas following the treatment 
• Avoid skincare containing active ingredients for the next 3 days
• Hirudoid cream may be applied to the treated areas to reduce bruising

Is the treatment painful?
In the clinic, a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas prior to commencing the treatment. Some individuals may experience some mild discomfort from the warm pressure and prickling sensations during the treatment.

How long is the downtime?
Mild redness, tenderness and swelling may be visible post treatment and will generally subside in 1-3 days. Please note individual results will vary. 

How many sessions do i need?
We will discuss the number of sessions with you during a consultation as it will depend on your specific individual skin composition and your beauty goals. In general, some of our clients find benefit with 3 sessions, spaced out 4 weeks apart. 

How long does the treatment take?
The treatment will take 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the areas being treated. This includes application of numbing cream and the application of an exosome mask post treatment.

When will I see results?
Individual results will vary. Generally, results will start to become noticeable within a few weeks post treatment. Collagen production will gradually build overtime with multiple sessions beneficial for some clients.

Is the treatment painful?
In general, the treatment can be considered as a comfortable procedure, with individual experiences varying. There can be some treatment areas which are more sensitive such as the under chin area. During the treatment, you will experience a warm and light suctioning sensation. 

How long will the results last for?
Generally, the results achieved from the treatment are permanent noting changes in lifestyle factors can affect the longevity of your initial results over time. Please note individual results will vary.

How long is the downtime?  
The treatment sites may feel warm post treatment for a few hours. If you follow the required aftercare you can reduce the risk of downtime which may include mild bruising and swelling at the treatment site. This may be covered by light make-up the following day. 

Can I wear makeup after the treatment?
Light makeup can be worn post treatment, however this is subject to your skin’s sensitivity.
